It's more FUN in a group and Doug Wright from KSL radio wants to invite you to come have a wonderful and fun trip next fall.  We'll visit and enjoy the splendors of fall colors in BOSTON, PORTLAND, SAINT JOHN, HALIFAX and BAR HARBOR.  We will see many more beautiful and historic cities on this Canada/New England Cruise that is as romantic and it is scenic!

The great thing about going on a cruise is being able to enjoy a feast of different landscapes, architectures, and people as you unpack once and have your "floating resort" traveling with you - and what a resort we have for you!  The Brilliance of the Seas, one of Royal Caribbean's exciting ships is, in itself, one of the destinations of this trip! On this beautiful Radiance-Class ship you'll see it combines sleek panoramic vistas, wide-open spaces, and boast a glass enclosed, nine-story central atrium, elevators facing the sea, and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout. The ship has the tranquil Solarium pool at VitalitySM Spa, and their signature Rock Climbing Wall. When the sun goes down, the night heats up with Broadway-style shows, Casino RoyaleSM, plus 16 bars and lounges.

This cruise has something for EVERYONE!! Doug Wright will entertain the group with stories of his years in broadcasting and lead us in some fun discussions about our upcoming news worthy events and movie trivia for all levels.

Portland, Maine

Portland is the biggest city in the U.S. state of Maine, with an estimated population of 64,000. Portland, Maine was originally called Machigonne by the native people who originally lived there. It was settled by the British in 1632 as a fishing and trading community and renamed Casco. In 1786, the general population of Falmouth formed an independent town in Falmouth Neck and named it Portland. In 1820 Maine became a state and Portland was picked as its capital. By this time both the Embargo Act and the war had ended, and Portland's economy began to recover. In 1832 the capital was changed to Augusta. After being destroyed four times, Portland is one of the most attractive cities in New England. The Victorian style architecture has been preserved very well. Most cities have only insignificant traces of architecture from this era. Portland's unique history and determination to persevere have made it one of the best places to live and visit in the country.

Saint John, NB (Bay of Fundy)

Saint John, New Brunswick is located on the Bay of Fundy, along Canada's eastern seaboard. This small city is home to about 130,000 residents and embodies Canadian Maritime hospitality, and has more than 400 years worth of French and British influences. Originally a shipbuilding hub primarily due to its ice-free harbor in winter, Saint John continues to thrive in the shipping and fishing industries. The city was virtually destroyed by a fire in 1877, and the Victorian-era rebuilding is still seen throughout Uptown Saint John with its historic churches and brick pathways. Uptown Saint John, where the cruise terminal is located and considered the city center, is home to many unique shops and boutiques, funky art galleries and cafes, and you'll often be serenaded by street musicians with a bohemian flare.

Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5: Thursday, October 14, 2021

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Halifax is a Canadian regional municipality, the largest population center in both the Province of Nova Scotia and Canada. Part of the city was destroyed in 1917 by the Halifax Explosion. Due to the restoration after the explosion, Halifax was considered to be a modern city. The estimated population of Halifax is about 300,000. Halifax Harbor is a huge natural harbor on the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. Halifax Harbor is considered to be the second largest harbor in the world after Sydney, Australia, although this claim is also contested by roughly a half dozen other harbors, depending upon how harbor limits are defined. Halifax’s tactical position, economical infrastructure and service have made it the ideal connection to Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. A North American gateway to the north eastern United States, Atlantic Canada and afar.

Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6: Friday. October 15, 2021

Bar Harbor, Maine

Bar Harbor is located on Mount Desert Island and is the gateway to Acadia National Park in Maine, known for its coastal beauty, sleepy little coastal village atmosphere, and lobster. Summer vacationers have come to the Bar Harbor since the 1800’s when adventurers started to notice the natural beauty of the area. It became a place for powerful American families to build grand summer cottages, from the Pulitzers to the Vanderbilts, from the Rockefellers to the Fords. Today, it is a diverse place with the lobstering, fishing, and tourism communities, along with those who are part of the educational institutions and top scientific organizations, as well as  business entrepreneurs. There’s something for everyone in Bar Harbor, from an active downtown area full of shops and restaurants, to a plethora of outdoor activities.
