Day 1: Saturday, May 29, 2021

Departure City - Palmyra

We depart this morning for Rochester, NY. Upon arrival we will drive to our hotel in Palmyra, NY. We will get acquainted over dinner as we look forward to the trip ahead. Accommodations at the Palmyra Inn for two nights.

Day 2: Sunday, May 30, 2021

Palmyra

Following Sacrament meeting, we will visit the Sacred Grove and reflect on the special events that took place here 200 years ago. Next, we see the restored Joseph Smith Sr. home and farm, including the restored log cabin where Moroni first appeared to Joseph Smith. Our next stop is the Hill Cumorah and Visitors Center. Our last stop today will be the E. B. Grandin Building where the Book of Mormon was printed and the grave site of Alvin Smith, eldest brother of Joseph Smith.

Day 3: Monday, May 31, 2021

Palmyra – Mendon – Fayette – Binghamton

After we drive by the site of Oliver Cowdery’s Schoolhouse we drive to Mendon, NY to see the Tomlinson Inn, Solomon and Heber C. Kimball home sites, John Young Homes, Brigham Young baptismal Site (weather permitting), and the Tomlinson Corners Cemetery. Following lunch we travel to Fayette, NY to the Peter Whitmer Farm where the church was organized on April 6, 1830. Next, we drive to Binghamton to check into our hotel. Accommodations in Binghamton, NY for two nights.

Day 4: Tuesday, June 1, 2021

Colesville – South Bainbridge – Harmony, PA

This morning we visit the Josiah Stowell and Joseph Knight homes and learn the how important they were in our church history. Following lunch we visit the Priesthood Restoration site in Susquehanna County, PA. We’ll see the new visitor’s center and meetinghouse, the reconstructed homes of Joseph and Emma Smith and Isaac and Elizabeth Hale, the woods where John the Baptist restored the priesthood, the baptismal site at the Susquehanna River, and the new statuary.

Day 5: Wednesday, June 2, 2021

Fairport Harbor - Kirtland

Today we travel through some of the western regions of New York and review the missionary labors of Samuel Smith and Parley P. Pratt. As these missionaries headed for Ohio, their labors would change the history of the Church because of the conversion of Sidney Rigdon. Midmorning we make a stop in Corning at the glass factory en route to Kirtland. When we arrive in Kirtland we will stop at the LDS visitor’s center to become acquainted with the sites we will be visiting tomorrow. Accommodations at the Holiday Inn for two nights.

Day 6: Thursday, June 3, 2021

Kirtland

We start our day at the Morley Farm. Next we visit the Kirkland Temple where The Lord Himself appeared as did Moses, Elias, Elijah, and numerous other angels. Then we see the Temple Quarry and have a picnic lunch. We spend the rest of the afternoon visiting the historic Kirtland village including the LDS Visitors Center, the Whitney Home and Store, the Johnson Inn, the Ashery, and Sawmill.

Day 7: Friday, June 4, 2021

Hiram, OH – Cleveland Airport - Home

This morning we depart for Hiram, OH to visit the John Johnson Farm. It was at the Johnson farm that Joseph Smith received the vision of the three degrees of glory. We conclude our tour with a late afternoon flight home and a better appreciation for the life of the Prophet Joseph and the early saints.
