Day 1: Tuesday, Oct 5, 2021

Departure City - Danvers, MA

Our journey begins as we fly to Boston, Massachusetts. Upon arrival we board our motorcoach and travel to our welcome dinner and hotel in Danvers, MA.

Day 2: Wednesday, Oct 6, 2021

Topsfield, MA - Boothbay Harbor, ME

After breakfast we tour various LDS Church history sites, including the Smith Family Homestead and Pine Grove Cemetery. Afterwards, we begin our scenic drive to Boothbay Harbor, Maine where we board the “Pink Lady” and enjoy a picturesque cruise near rocky shores, quiet coves, islands, lighthouses, and yachts at anchor in the busy marinas. Later this afternoon we have time to wander and shop this quaint town before dinner.

Day 3:Thursday, Oct 7, 2021

Boothbay Harbor, ME - West Lebanon, NH

Our tour today includes a ride on the Hobo Railroad in Lincoln, New Hampshire. On this one hour excursion in vintage, restored coaches along the Pemigwasse River, we see the spectacular fall foliage. Next, we travel to Franconia to visit the house that poet Robert Frost purchased after his 1915 return from England. This two-room home contains memorabilia that includes signed first editions of each of his books. Later this afternoon, we see various Church history sites such as the Smith Home in Norwich, Vermont and the Smith Homesite in West Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Day 4: Friday, Oct 8, 2021

Sharon, VT - Burlington, VT

This morning our tour begins at the Joseph Smith Memorial in Sharon, Vermont, where Joseph Smith was born. Next, we see various church history sites such as the Tunbridge Village Store, the Tunbridge covered bridge, and Royalton, Vermont.

Day 5: Saturday, Oct 9, 2021

Bennington, VT - Binghamton, NY

This morning we depart for Binghamton, NY. En route we visit the Battle of Bennington and the grave site of the poet, Robert Frost. We continue to Colesville, New York where the first branch of the Church was organized. We then visit the Josiah Stowell home, Joseph Knight home, and the Baptist Church.

Day 6: Sunday, Oct 10, 2021

Susquehanna - Fayette, NY - Palmyra, NY

Following Sacrament meeting, our day of touring includes the Susquehanna River, Priesthood Restoration sites, and McKune Cemetery.  We see Joseph and Emma Smith’s first home, in which their first child was born and much of the Book of Mormon was translated, and the Issac Hale Home. This afternoon we visit the Peter Whitmer Farm in Fayette, which is where the Church was organized on April 6, 1830, and is near the location of the manifestation to the Three Witnesses.

Day 7: Monday, Oct 11, 2021

Palmyra, NY - Kirtland, OH

We begin our tour in Palmyra at the E.B. Grandin Building where the Book of Mormon was printed, and the grave site of Alvin Smith, eldest brother of Joseph Smith. Next, we visit the Sacred Grove and reflect on the special events that took place here. We tour the Joseph Smith, Sr. home and farm, including the log cabin where Moroni first appeared to Joseph Smith. Our last stop will be the Hill Cumorah, and then we travel to Kirtland, Ohio.

Day 8: Tuesday, Oct 12, 2021

Kirtland, OH – Home Cities

We spend this morning visiting the Kirtland Temple, Morley Farm, and Historic Kirtland Village which includes the Church Visitor’s Center, Whitney Home and Store, Johnson Inn, Ashery, and Sawmill.   Our tour concludes with a greater appreciation of the life of the Prophet Joseph and all those who have made their mark in the early years of the Church.
