We invite you to join Rich Robins on a historical expedition to celebrate the spirit of the early faithful saints and relive the restoration of the Gospel through the Prophet Joseph Smith. 

This tour starts in the heart of America's Revolutionary War areas with visits to Bunker Hill, Lexington and Concord.  From there we travel to the charming town of Sharon, Vermont known for its picturesque landscapes, and historic charm, and to the sacred birthplace of Joseph Smith.  We will continue visiting these special sites as we travel through the New York countryside to Palmyra and visit the Sacred Grove, the Smith Family homestead, and the Grandlin Printing building.  From here we turn north to see Niagara Falls, one of the world's most awe-inspiring natural wonders – Niagara Falls. Nestled on the border between the United States and Canada, this iconic destination promises an experience of sheer grandeur and beauty. Our tour ends in the Kirtland/Hyrum area celebrating the Kirtland Temple and sites of the translation of the Book of Mormon and other significant Church History events.

Home City – Boston, MA 

Today we board our flight for our memorable Church History tour. We see our first view of Boston late afternoon. We visit Bunker Hill en route to our hotel.  The Battle of Bunker Hill took place on June 17, 1775, just a few months after the start of the American Revolutionary War.  Tonight, we get acquainted with our group at dinner.

Lexington - Concord- West Lebanon, NH 

This morning we relive the first moments of the Revolutionary War and see the place where the shot was fired that was “heard around the world”. We travel the Battle Road, stopping at various points, and even see where Paul Revere was captured by the British. You will come to know Lexington and Concord and understand those events which brought about the Independence of this great nation.

Sharon, VT - Tunbridge, VT – Bennington, VT 

Today our tour begins at the Joseph Smith Memorial in Sharon, Vermont. Joseph Smith was born in the township of Sharon on December 23, 1805. We visit the LDS Visitor’s Center and see the unique granite monument, one of the largest in the world, marking his birthplace. Next, we visit Tunbridge, Vermont, which was the first home of Joseph and Lucy Smith. Throughout the day we see the beautiful Vermont landscape and their famous covered bridges as we learn of the early years of the prophet.

Priesthood Restoration Site, PA - Binghamton, NY  

Early this morning we see the Bennington Battle Monument.  This monument is a 306-foot-high stone obelisk that commemorates the Battle of Bennington during the American Revolutionary War. Next, we continue our drive to the Priesthood Restoration site in Susquehanna County, PA. We see the visitor’s center, the reconstructed homes of Joseph and Emma Smith and Isaac and Elizabeth Hale, the woods where John the Baptist restored the priesthood, the new statuaries, and the baptismal site at the Susquehanna River.

Fayette, NY - Palmyra, NY 

We depart this morning for Fayette, NY to visit the Peter Whitmer Farm where the Church was organized on April 6, 1830.  Next, we travel to Palmyra to see the Sacred Grove and reflect on the special events that took place here. We also visit the restored Joseph Smith, Sr., farm including the log cabin where Moroni first appeared to Joseph Smith.

Palmyra, NY

This morning we start our day with sacrament meeting in Palmyra.  Following lunch, we travel to the Hill Cumorah and then the Grandin Building where the Book of Mormon was published. Next we see the grave site of Alvin Smith, Joseph Smith’s eldest brother and travel to Mendon, NY to review the missionary labors of Samuel Smith.

Mendon, NY - Niagara Falls, NY - Kirtland, OH

As we depart Palmyra, we continue our journey to Niagara Falls, the oldest state park in the USA. We board the Maid of the Mist boat which passes directly in front of the falls and enters Horseshoe Basin. This is a fun activity not to be missed!  We then continue traveling to Kirtland, OH.

Kirtland, OH 

Today we visit the Kirtland Temple where The Lord Himself appeared as did Moses, Elias, Elijah, and numerous other angels. Next, we tour the newly restored Joseph Smith home. Following our lunch at the Temple Quarry, we spend the afternoon visiting the Morley Farm and the historic Kirtland village including the Church’s Visitor’ s Center, Whitney Home and Store, Johnson Inn, Ashery, and Sawmill.

Hiram, OH - Home City

We depart this morning for Hiram, OH to visit the John Johnson Farm. It was at the Johnson farm that Joseph Smith received the vision of the three degrees of glory. We conclude our tour with a late afternoon flight home and a better appreciation for the life of the Prophet Joseph, the early saints, and the restoration of the church.
